Electric windlass for boats
The electric boat windlass is the most widely used type on ships.
It is powered by an electric motor, which drives the main shaft to rotate after multi-stage deceleration through large and small gears in the reduction box. Due to the high speed reduction ratio requirements, the speed reduction mechanism is relatively large.
Electric windlass is mainly used for small and medium-sized ships, with anchor chain diameter of 16mm-93mm.

Hydraulic boat windlass
Hydraulic windlass mainly relies on hydraulic devices to perform and control actions, which is also called electric hydraulic windlass because its hydraulic energy comes from the oil pump device driven by the motor.
This windlass has compact structure, small transmission parts, smooth operation, and good shifting performance. However, it requires more maintenance care than the electric type.
The hydraulic windlass widely used for modern large and medium-sized ships, with anchor chain diameters of 16mm-120mm.
